The hamlet of Montfort is part of the village of Vitrac. It is constructed around a castle built on a rocky peak which dominates the river Dordogne. In this place, the river make a large meander, called " cingle de Montfort "

. It is a very tourist place, located nearby Sarlat, and the most delightful sites of the region. You will discover, in a very close perimeter, the medieval cities of Salat and Domme ,several villages classified " nicer villages of France " such as Roque Gageac, Beynac, Domme, Saint de Coly.
